Carnations Flowers Tutorial by Prika

Hello Crafty Friends,
Today I am here on the blog sharing a tutorial on making carnations for your upcoming projects. I always love making flowers on my own for my projects since it brings uniqueness on its own..and the best part i create my own shades of flowers as per the project requirement.
It an extra effort you choose to do while making your own flowers for project but then it always looks so lovely.

Let’s begin with all the supplies used for making these lovely carnations.
# Spellbinders Carnations Die
# Exotic Flower Paper by Dress my Craft
# Distress Oxide Worn Lipstick
# Archival Ink Vermillion
# Ink Blending Tool
# Tonic Flower Shaping Tool
# Embossing Pad
# Glue Gun
Since we have got all the supplies together let begin with the steps to create some beauty carnations:
Step:1. We will take the two flower patterns from the die set and flower paper rolling them through our sizzix.

Step:2. Will take 6 of each die to create a flower, layering all the six pieces together.

Step:3. Now taking your distress oxide and ink blending tool color all of them on both sides and also using the archival ink, color the edges to create the look.

Step:4. Since all the coloring is done, then taking you flower shaping tools by tonic begin to shape the flowers, rolling there edges in and out on either sides, do this for all the 6 layers.

Step:5. Shape the layers more by using the stylus from the centre for all 6. And start to layer one by one stick 3 layers together and making the 4 layer a little smaller by removing one of the petals and also the centre one to fit in the flower centre.

Our Carnations are ready to use, I have created one Pink and other two White in color to pair up together in my projects.
Let’s have a look on the project I have used it for: A Lovely Handmade Card with a Lovely Quote to keep smiling.
