Hello Craftpreneur's,

Another lovely day to spotlight another creative crafter around us....we bring you... "Craft Enthusiast of the Week : Shruti Goenka"....born in Jaipur and now residing in Surat continuing her creative passion to each step a day...she finds her inspiration from all around the web world, she has lot of inspiration here today .....Let's quickly dig in to know more about the crafting journey of our featured crafter for the day...

This is what Shruti speaks about her journey, some of her favourite projects done in past...and about her creative journey so far...

I am Shruti Gupta from Surat, India an MBA in Finance with passion for Art and Craft. I live with my husband in Surat . I am basically from Jaipur, Rajasthan. I have been crafting since I was in school with my old collection of greeting cards, marriage invitations and gift wrap papers available at home.

How it’s all started? (My crafting Journey)

I was working with a bank after MBA but I left my job after marriage.I used to create cards, photo frames etc. for my loved ones on their birthdays and anniversaries since school and just after leaving my job, I came across a lot of youtube videos on crafting and started practising them with the supplies I had.Later on, I decided to search on the craft materials needed and thats when I came across a lot of brands, started ordering things online and also started getting orders for the handmade gifts. And that’s how I started doing craft professionally.

What Inspired me?

Internet has inspired me the most to do crafting and also to gain knowledge on latest creative ideas in the market.

My Most favourite crafts of all?

All projects made by me are my favourite..;) Just kidding!!
The project very close to my heart is my first order which was a name album created by me from scratch and I was very motivated by the reviews of my client.

My style of crafting?

My style of crafting is colourful paper craft. I love creating folios, albums and scrapbooks. I use a lot of flowers and charms in my project (if client’s budget permits).

My Future Plans?

I would love to join hands with big crafting brands in India as their Design Team Member and inspire others just the way other DT members are doing.

Message for all Craft Buddies!!

Try and give a personal touch to each project you try whether you saw it on internet or you thought of creating one on your own. Don’t be afraid to try something new as sky is the limit for the creative heads like us.

A quick Inspiration : “Envelope Photo Folio"

Step:1. Take red cardstock measuring 10"*11.75".On 11.75" Side, score it at 5.5", 6.25"
On 10" Side, score it at 8" N cut the paper as shown in the picture.

Step:2. Take 2.5"*5.5" Cardstock.Round the corners and score it at 0.5" On 2.5" And stick it at the top of the cover as shown in picture.

Step:3. In similar way make a pocket underneath on the cover. For that, you will need 2"*5.5" Cardstock

Step:4. Now for waterfall inside on right side, I have added a twist. I have made pockets in each waterfall to hold a tag.For this, I took 8"*3.75" Cardstock. Score it at.5" , 4" and 7.5" And make a pocket as shown in the picture.Make 8 such pieces.

Step:5. On left side, to make two tag pockets, take 5.5"*2" Cardstock and take 3.5"*5.5" Cardstock and stick them one under another from three sides so as to make pockets on the page.

Step:6. To make an additional flap on left side, take 6.5"*3.75" Cardstock .Score it at 0.5" On 6.5" Side so as to stick the flap.

Step:7. Attach magnets to the envelope on cover and create a small magnetic closure for the folio. Decorate it as you want.
