Hey everyone myself Anindita, I’m Post graduate in English Literature (Gold Medalist) with B. Ed degree and was all set to pursue teaching but chose to give full time to my two kids. I always enjoyed creating things to gift to my loved ones. It began with decoupage, candle making followed by art of rendering.

How it’s all started? (My crafting Journey)

My real crafting began six years ago when I was introduced to decoupage all over again, but, in new way. It persuaded me to learn more and more. In due course of time I picked up punch craft, quilling, sospeso, card making and flower making. Presently, I love doing mix media projects.

What Inspired me?

I get inspired from various tutorials and works of wonderful artists who are part of various design teams with leading craft stores. The various blog challenges also motivates me and inspires me to channelise my creativity and create projects which defines me.

My Most favourite crafts of all?

Here I share some of my favourite projects:

My style of crafting?

I love doing decoupage, 3D decoupage. Now, recently bitten by the mix media bug. I’m really fascinated by new found love for mix media. I enjoy experimenting and creating with different mediums, feel quite contented with the outcome. With each project there is a new learning.

My Future Plans?

I have been associated with Nakshthra Designz from 2018 Aug to 2019 June. I wish to be part of design teams of various crafting companies and start taking up classes spreading this art form to art lovers.

A quick Inspiration : “Time to Fly Mixed Media"

Step.1: Firstly I took 9X12” cardboard piece. I primed it with gesso and used two different stencil and two mediums to give texture. For Ornate lace stencil I used prima paper paste and for TCW script stencil I used Itsy bitsy modeling paste. Added some clear crackle to create more textures.

Step.2: Now in order to create interest I added Lindy’s spray colours – Wild honeysuckle coral, Cowbunga copper, Canna Lily burnt orange, Drop dead gorgeous green and Oktoberest Orange magical shaker.

Step.3: Now to create story I used creative embellishment and wycinanka chippies and coloured with Burlup impasto paint and brass patina paint. I added lace and fussy cut flowers from my stash around mu focal picture.

Step.4: Now coloured metal embellishments and resin with paints and waxes.

Step.5: I added all the embellishment and along with flowers from Itsy Bitsy and 49 and Market.

Step.6: Now to enhance the project I added art stone (which coloured with spray colours to match the surrounding) prima micro beads and mica flakes. Finally used lucky emerald wax from Prima to enhance the overall beauty of the project.
