Mixed Media Beach Decor Tutorial by CI Shweta Tapsi Khode

Hello all you crafty people!

CI Shweta here today with a new inspiration project on this month's challenge theme.

I have created a beautifully textured mixed media beach decor. I made it more interesting by adding beautiful textures to it without using any texture paste. Check the pictures.

List of Supplies used:

➤ Chalk paints: iCraft - Intense Ocean, Magic Blue, Cream Pie and Expressions Craft - Maya Blue, Tortilla
➤ Metallic paints Jingle Shells, Sun Kissed Gold: Expressions Craft
➤ Deco Stones - Expressions Craft
➤ White gesso, gel medium, mixed media stones - Little Birdie
➤ Handmade flowers - Prika

I first covered my base with white chalk paint and adhered some bubble wrap on it.
Mixed some sand and mixed media stones with gel medium and applied the mixture on the bubble wrap. Then applied white gesso all over.

Then coloured the base with blue and yellow chalk paints to give it the beach look.
Glued some jute twine on the base in a net like pattern and adhered all the embellishments.

Dry brushed some metallic paints for a nice shimmer. Done! Sounds easy right?

It's a quick make really. You can also paste a picture of your beach holidays on it and turn it into a picture frame. It will make a good memorabilia.

I hope you liked the tutorial.

Lots of love,
Shweta.
