Teeny Tiny Mixed Media Scrapbook by Nafisa Ali

Hello Crafty Friends,
Nafisa here with my brand new project Teeny Tiny mixed media scrapbook. We crafters are usually left with a bunch of cardstocks after finishing our projects and it’s often difficult to thrash them. I decided to make a mini album with the residual cardstock. Even though the concept is very simple and refined, the soothing colours helps you add so many emblishments of your choice that the finished album looks stunning. This is such a simple and quick project using just left outs to make a handmade gift for that special friend for this Friendship Day!

This is a picture heavy post so just grab a cuppa and enjoy!
Here are the instruction you can use to recreate such a project:
Step.1: Create 3 nos. of 5.5”x8.5” left over cardstock and score each at 4”and 4.5” lengthwise and fold using a bone folder.

Step.2: Adhere the back sides of all 3 card stock to each other using a tacky tape, your pages are ready.

Step.3: Take a 6”x12” card stock for the cover. Stick front page to the cover card stock leaving ¼” on 3 sides followed up by spine and back page. Cut off remaining card stock. Yippee our base is ready!!!

Step.4: Once I grabbed everything for my base I started embellishing by covering the card stock with 3”x4” journaling cards (you can use any desired pattern paper) I left 1mm of pink cardstock on all sides to lift the designs in adhered pattern paper and build an interesting contrast.

Step.5: Make a ribbon bow and glue it to the spine.
Step.6: Now start embellishing cover page by using layers of scrap pattern paper by sticking multiple cardstock together beneath the paper to add volume to it.

Step.7: And finally my album was complete after layering with the die cuts, ephemera, some prima flowers, Mdf die cuts and other elements from my stash.
Step.8: To give a finishing look to my cover I added some glitter chunks and silver sequence using soft gloss gel, followed up by some random mixed media stamping using pink and black ink to give the depth effect.
Here are my project pictures and some close ups!

Hope you liked it as much as I enjoyed creating it!
