Altered Bottle by Saloni Bhutra

Hello Everyone,
I have altered two glass bottles using decoupage and mixed media techniques and wish to share with you all on prika’s blog for the ongoing challenge “old turned new”
This has turned into an wonderful home decor piece also adding some creative hue to the place.

Supplies Used:
#Gesso
#Decoupage Glue
#Tissue Papers
#Acrylic Paints
#Cheese Cloth
#Stencil
#Archival Ink
#Stamps
#Texture Paste
#Varnish

Tutorial Steps
Step:1. Prime the clean bottles with gesso and choose the tissues to put on the bottles.
Step:2. Apply decoupage glue on the desired area and paste the tissue. Once dry, put another layer of decoupage glue on top of the tissue.
Step:3. For the blue bottle, I pasted cheese cloth to give texture and painted over it with shades of blue and green.
For the floral bottle, I blended shades of green and yellow on the neck and bottom of the bottle and left it to dry.
Step:4. I put some texture paste on the blue bottle with a circle stencil and stamped on it once all of it was dry.
Step:5. I put a layer or two of glossy varnish to give a shine to the bottles and make them heat and water resistant.
Thank you for stopping by, hope you enjoyed the tutorial :)
