Hello Craftpreneur's,

Let's quickly scroll below to know more about the crafting journey of our featured crafter for the month...

Here's what Shraddha speaks about her journey, some of her favourite projects done in past...and about her creative journey so far...

This is Shraddha from Delhi,India.  I am a full time crafter, self taught artist and the founder of Creatif Edges. Creatif Edges is into personalised handmade gifting where people express their emotions to their loved ones through customised gifting solutions. I also provide online and offline workshops. I am also a DT for few blogs. I have done my MBA and BBA from reputed institute of management BVIMR, New Delhi.

I have been crafting since my childhood. I used to draw things and then colour them, I did participate in lots of Art competitions and won prizes.  I was the head of creative team in my college. I used to handle my team and created charts, posters and handmade invitations cards  on various events of the college. I also took part in off-campus art competitions and won prizes.

How it’s all started? (My crafting Journey)

It all started in school. Once, My best friend made 18 cards for her another friend on her 18th birthday. That time I understood, handmade things make others feel special. Handmade gifts express the feelings and people love to keep it for longer time. It's the gift with memories and lots of love so, I started making handmade gifts for my friends, handmade cards and scrapbooks. My friends used to wait for their birthday. They expected something handmade from me. Then, once my lecturer advised me to create Facebook page for my brand Creatif Edges , I create it and got lot of responses like 2000 likes in a month. Later when I started with the job, I got so many mails for handmade stuff. People started ordering stuff. After one year , I left the job and began with paper crafting, gradually I started with decoupage and then mixed media. Candle making and chocolates, I learnt in school.

What Inspired me?

Creativity, uniqueness and the challenges – less is more. Recently, I experienced due to lockdown that When you create with less materials, then you come out from your comfort zone and think out of the box and creates something different and the outcome is fabulous.

My Most favourite crafts of all?

My style of crafting?

Altered art, mixed media, decoupage, scrapbooks, pop up cards, digi stamp cards, explosion boxes, photo folio, art journal , homemade chocolates and handmade jelly candles.

My Future Plans?

I want to continue with my business with new and unique creations. I also want to learn new and different form of crafts and I also want to share my knowledge, tips and tricks with others through youtube channel. I have started Creating free tutorials as well.

Message for all Craft Buddies!!

Everyone is unique. Everyone has their own style of crafting. So why don’t you make yours? Because we crafters, can only guide you or teach you but it’s your creative mind and it’s your creativity which is going to make you unique from others.
