"Winter Carnival" Scrapbook Layout by CI Priti Kedia

Hello friends!!

It's winter in most parts of the world and I love this season specially because of Christmas and New Year. This is Priti, and I am here to share an inspiration project for our December Challenge - "Winter Wonderland".

We have so much happening in this season like Christmas celebrations and Winter carnivals. I made a scrapbook page to document one such memory, inspired by the current theme and the mood board. I had few Christmas themed brads in my stash and I challenged myself to use those in my layout.

Lets have a look at the supplies first:
  • IRIS 270 gsm cardstock from PRIKA
  • Vellum from PRIKA
  • Stencils
  • Distress inks
  • Ranger Matte Texture Paste
  • Pattern Papers - "Simple Joy" from DCWV
  • Christmas themed brads
  • Alpha stickers and thickers
  • Doily
  • Gold mist
As you all know by now, I love creating my own backgrounds for layouts. I have done the same here and sharing the step by step tutorial with you.

Step.1: Since I didn't have any snowflakes stamp, stencil or embellishments, I decided to use my existing supplies to create a similar effect in the background.

Step.2: After I was happy with the way it looked, I added somme texture using a star stencil and Ranger opaque matte texture paste.

Step.3: Then I matted my picture and made the arrangement with the doily and other pieces of pattern papers. I chose the 3x4 card with good vibes written to add my journaling.

Step.4: Once I was happy with the design, I added my brads.

Step.5: Then I added the title and the rest of my embellishments - star chipboard, red bow and some stickers.

Step.6: Lastly, I added some gold mist for the festive look! And I added my journaling after taking this picture.

Here are some more pics and close ups of the layout

I hope you liked this Winter themed scrapbook layout and will participate in the challenge. Have a great day!

Love,
Priti
