"Our Story" Mini Album + Video by CI Priti Kedia

Hello crafty friends!!

Season's greetings from the entire team at PRIKA. Hope you all had a wonderful time this festive season with friends and family!
This is CI Priti here, and I am back with you with a very special project this time, something which is very close to my heart. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed making this one.

A cute little 3"x4" ring binder mini album with pictures of my lovely girls and using the beautiful paper pack called "Euphoria" by "CrafTreat", who is the sponsor for our current challenge - "Bees, Birds and Butterflies".

I was inspired by the 3"x4" and 3"x3" cards which came with this collection and I wanted to use them with the pocket cut outs available, in a very different and creative way. So immediately this mini came to my mind, and because of the colour palette, the pinks, the flowers and the butterflies in the collection, I decided to make this album for my daughters.

It's a little long post, so please grab your cup of tea and join me in the making of this mini :)

Here are the main supplies which I have used to create this layout and a detailed step by step procedure:
  • Euphoria paper collection from Craftreat
  • Mambi Chipboard Stickers from The Craft Shop
  • Vellum from PRIKA
  • White Cardstock from PRIKA
  • Acetate from PRIKA
  • Butterflies element sheet from PRIKA
  • Other decorative items like Tags, stickers, ribbons, twine, tassels, charms, paper clips etc. from my stash
As a first step, I cut out the pocket cards, and some pattern papers, vellum, acetate, white cardstock in 3"x4" size.

Then I printed all my pictures in different sizes - 3"x4", 2"x3" and 2"x2". I have used the PicFrame app to collage my pictures but you can use any similar one too.

I am sure most of you know by now how much I love fussy cutting. So I went ahead and fussy cut out some floral elements and butterflies from different pattern papers which I will use as die cuts/pockets/tuck in points in my album. I strategically cut out the pattern papers for my covers so that the florals and butterflies are already there.

This is how I used all these three elements to create my album pages. I stuck two pieces of pattern papers together to make a page. And I used white cardstock as a base to stick 3"x4" pictures directly on it. Adding pictures to the album is always so much fun!! :) I am sharing the front and back of most of the album pages below.

And here are my album covers. The pattern papers are of such good quality and thickness that I decided not to use the chipboard and stuck the papers on a piece of white cardstock to make the cover. I layered the fussy cut butterflies and finished off with a title which is from a Mambi chipboard sticker sheet bought from The Craft Shop and some enamel dots.

I finished embellishing my pages with some phrase and heart stickers. I also added two journaling tags in the pocket and two tags as album pages. The vellum and acetate gives a very nice look to the album and I am so happy with the way it turned out. Then I punched holes and added all the pages to a 35 mm binder ring, decorated with an organza ribbon bow, a tassel and some hanging charms. This is how my finished album looks like! And yes, not to forget, I will be adding some dates and journaling later in my album.

Thanks for being with me and I hope you enjoyed reading through the process of making this cute little mini, and are inspired to create one for yourself too. I also have a short video of the album walkthrough, which you can find below:

Have a great day!!
