Hola crafty peeps!
Wish you all a very happy and a prosperous Diwali!
Today on this festive occasion, I have a quick and easy video tutorial for you all on how you can alter any tray in no time. You can use such trays to adorn your centre/dinning tables by keeping dry fruits or chocolates or candies in it.
Supplies Used:
- Moon Child Pattern Paper - Prima Marketing
- Weave Stencil - Expressions Craft
- Light Paste - Finnabair
- Java Chalk Paint - Home Decor
- Soft Satin Acrylic Paint - Finnabair
- Rose Gold Wax - Finnabair
- Mod-Podge Satin Finish - Plaid Craft
Process:
I began with adding texture design using a stencil randomly on all four sides. Once dried I covered it with chalk paint. You may also use black gesso or acrylic paint of your choice. Next I adhered my pattern paper inside the tray using Mod-Podge. You can use a decoupage paper in its place as well.
Lastly i dry bushed my metallic paint along with some metallic wax to highlight my texture on all four sides.
Here's the video tutorial:
I hope you enjoyed watching this quick tutorial and are inspired to alter your own trays this festive season.
Don't forget to participate in our monthly blog challenge to stand a chance to win some great craft prizes.
