Altered MDF Frame by CI Shweta Tapsi Khode

Hey people,
Shweta here with another challenge inspiration for you. I have altered an MDF frame using the yellows and greys from the challenge colour palette and added a lot of bling! A quick tutorial follows.

List of supplies used:
➤ Little Birdie white gesso
➤ Little Birdie mixed media paste
➤ iCraft stencil
➤ iCraft chalk paints
➤ Pattern paper
➤ MDF frame base
➤ Glitter
➤ Clay embellishments

I started off by covering the whole frame with white gesso. I then added some texture paste through a stencil on all the four sides saving the part where there is space for the photo.
Then added some chalk paints in the shades of yellow and grey on the texture. I kept it subtle by washing down the paints with a lot of water.

Then pasted a pattern paper on the space provided for the photo. Made a composition using my handmade paper flowers, die cuts, chippies, fussy cut elements and a nice quote. This part is easier said than done. I take a lot of time in assembling my composition. I keep arranging and re-arranging till I’m satisfied. Added a lot of white glitter on the flowers. Splattered some black gesso on the composition.
Then I adhered some clay flourishes on all the four sides of the frames and dabbed some metallic paints on them.
And we’re done!

I hope my creation inspires you.
Thanks for stopping by. Wish you a crafty time ahead.
