This is what Zinal speaks about her journey as a crafter and her story of being a craftpreneur….
Hello everyone, I am Zinal Choksi. I was born and raised in Surat. The creativity bee was buzzing inside me since long. I was a home maker and was keen to do something independently in my life. Thus, with the support of my family and my husband, I am a “mompreneur” now!
How it’s all started? (My Crafting Journey!)
From childhood, I was interested in artistic stuff and was always fond of colours and brushes. After marriage, when I shifted to my new home, I was eager to add new unique things to decorate my house. I strived to do something of my own and while decorating my new house, the idea of my page “I creations” popped in my head.
What Inspired me?
When I saw the extraordinary art work done by the great crafters through youtube videos and on Facebook, I was inspired to try something new. Also, the appreciation from my customers has encouraged me to give them the best work possible. My 4 year old son is always there to judge my work and inspire me to do more.
My Most Favourite Crafts of All?
It’s very difficult to choose one project. As a crafter, I put all my heart and effort in each and every piece I create. For me, perfection is my motto . However, if I had to choose one, I would choose making cards with different techniques.
My style of crafting?
Art has no boundaries and I love to explore new things everyday. Specially, I prefer vintage look in terms of colours and elements for my creations. I use different mediums such as decoupage, mix media, paper crafting, etc to create new items.
My Future Plans?
As I said earlier, I love to explore new form of arts and for now, I am excited to do abstract work.
Message for all Crafters!
To be precise, consistent and be patient as it takes time and dedication to make each piece of art perfect. Always follow the ‘Trial and Error’ method to explore and learn more as there is no limit in creative field.
