Hello Crafty Friends,
Today I’m sharing a project inspiration that I haven’t tried or posted earlier. I have used the decoupage art form to alter an oval shaped MDF Board.
Let's begin with list of supplies:
➤ MDF Board
➤ Chalk Paints
➤ Heat Tool
➤ Water Bowl
➤ Flat Paint Brush
➤ Designer Napkin
➤ Decoupage Glue
➤ Plastic Sheet
➤ Glitter
➤ Varnish
Since we have got everything in place required to finish this project...let's begin with steps of making now:
Step:1. I took the MDF cutout and applied a nice coat of chalk paint all over using a sponge.
I dried it using my heat tool. We can also let it dry naturally but since I was running short of time I heat dried it.
Step:2. I applied a second coat of chalk paint and heat dried again.
Step:3. Then I took my decoupage napkin and using a brush I applied water to cut my required design for the MDF, I then removed the layers of the napkin.
Step:4. I next took my decoupage glue and with the help of a flat brush applied glue on the top portion of my MDF and placed my napkin over it carefully and rubbed with a plastic sheet to spread it evenly. I went slowly and covered the full MDF with the napkin.
Step:5. I applied a coat of glue all over after my napkin got placed properly to seal the project and sprinkled some glitter all over to add some extra shiny effect.
Step:6. I finally applied a nice coat of varnish to secure my project from any kind of dust.
Here we have our finished project, hope you liked my project and will surely give it a try once who are not into decoupage and please don't forget to share your reviews for the tutorial.
Thanks
