This is what Dishita speaks about her journey as a crafter and her story of being a craftpreneur….
Hi, Myself Dishita Vaghjiani, MBA by profession and crafter by heart. I have
completed my post graduation from UK, having a total work experience of 6+ years. Post marriage decided to be full time home maker, and during this time love towards art and craft increased. Art was always my hobby but love developed when I started to spend most of my time at home. Well here I guess, this statement comes true whatever happens, happens for good only. I come from colourful city of Gujarat, Rajkot now settled in city of art Bangalore.
The journey of craft cannot be defined by one or two years. It started from
childhood. The love for art comes from both my parents. My mom was a good
painter and dad an art lover. When you are daughter of an artist I guess it’s in
your blood. Mom always encouraged me to learn and draw painting or develop new artistic things.

I would like to dedicate my craft skills to my teacher (Pratiksha) who was
instrumental in developing my skills. I am thankful to her for the skills she taught which will be with me for a life time. My journey of art began with colour pencil, canvas painting, making cards, water colour, Ceramic painting, glass painting, Fabric painting, Candle making and lamasa art.. Now in recent year, I have started photo card making, decoupage, explosion box and scrapbooking.

Her Inspiration:
Well, Inspiration comes when you are associated with the people who encourage your work. I would like to thank my close friends who are always behind my success. My family members always encourage and support me, which gives by confidence next level. Prika is also a major source of inspiration. It just gives moral boost to get associated with group of art lovers.
Her Most Favourite:
Well, It just difficult question to answer, but I like decoupage and mixed media. It is so satisfying to see once the project is completed. All your hard work is waved off when you see “Wow effect” on your project.
Her Style of Crafting:
Well, there is no particular style for me, since I try to create different things
with different materials. I consider myself in still learning phase.

Future Plans:
Well, I just wanted to spread more smiles with my crafty skill. It is so wonderful to gift someone your hand made gift, and say it’s made by me and the smile on their face is all the reward I want. In future would like to conduct workshop for the people who would love to learn. I would also like to increase my craft skills as much as I can.
Message for All:
Just try, don’t stop it. We all are always in dilemma whether it will look good or not. But believe me, you just put your dreams in reality and don’t give up,
definitely magic will be created.
