Altered Cardboard Monogram Guest Inspiration by Semonti Roy

This is Semonti here from Creative Creation, Very happy to be the Guest Designer for Prika Blog for May Month.
This month theme is “Frame your Memories”. We all have lot of memories throughout our life. But my best is my childhood memories.

I have altered a cardboard monogram for my project. I love to do alter project. I decided I framed my childhood memories with my mom and dad. I choose letter “S” because it’s our names first letter.

Here is step by step process with pictures:
Step 1: I want to show natural brown colour of the letter that’s why I just dry brush with white gesso. Then distress the edges with distress ink shade green.

Step 2: Distress green shades of paper pieces and inking the edges with same green shade ink. Adherer the paper pieces from to middle portion of the letter. Apply clear gesso.

Step 3: Add some texture with stencil and sand texture paste.

Step 4:  Use two shades of green colour for colouring my letter.

Step 5: Stamping with archival ink black.

Step 6: I die cut two circle frames and stamping stitching design with black ink on my frames for stitched look. Also cut two circle photo mats and distress the edges and inking with green distress ink for my two circle black and white photos and stamped with script stamp and same black ink on photo mats.
Take two same design chipboard pieces and cover them with white gesso.

Step 7: Now arrange all my embellishments like flowers, foliage (colour with green distress ink and magical shaker) , leaves, clay mould pieces, gauge pieces(beneath my photos for more texture), Stamped and white embossed clocks on black cardstock, green sequence and green micro beads.
Apply vintage gold wax for highlight all the texture. Stamped my quote on black cardstock and white embossed it.

Here is my final project look like

Thank you for stopping. Hope you like my project. Happy crafting..
