Hello friends,
Tis the season!
This is CI Priti here, and I am here to share some simple, yet unique and beautiful cards with you, which you would love to give your loved ones in this beautiful "Winter" season. This season is full of joy, love, warmth, happiness, celebrations and presents. So let's celebrate this holiday season crafting some beautiful handmade cards.
I have made a set of five cards with different techniques like stamping, embossing and layering. My inspiration was to use Christmas themed die cuts paired with some pattern papers and stamps from my stash.
- Christmas theme die cuts
- Christmas theme elements pack
- 250 gsm card stock in different colours for the card bases
- White card stock as card panel for stamping and embossing from PRIKA
- Watercolour 300 gsm card stock as card panel
- Sentiment Stamps
- Versamark Embossing Ink Pad
- Ranger Gold embossing powder
- Ranger white embossing powder
- Ranger matte texture paste
- Black Archival waterproof Ink
- Star Stencil
- Distress inks
- Some pattern papers from stash
- Enamel dots, sequins and small stickers
- Twine, Ribbons, cord and flowers from stash
This is my most favourite card in the set and this gold embossing is just gorgeous. The lantern is fussy cut from a Christmas theme elements pack. So I first stamped and embossed the sentiment, tied a red cord around the panel and then popped up the lantern cut out with a little Christmas tag. Finished off the card with few red puffy hearts and mounted the panel on a matching card stock with 3d double sided tape.
Card 2:
Who doesn't love holiday presents? So I searched for all the gift box die cuts and used them on this card stacking them together. I added two ribbons - red and silver glitter with a flower and a die cut sentiment and the card was done. This time I used two different pattern papers as my card panel instead of a card stock with the corners rounded with a corner punch.
Card 3:
This is another quick and easy card made with die cuts from a Tim Holtz die cuts pack. The cluster of embellishments is the focal point and I did some stamping with red sequins and enamel dots to add the final finishing touches. Here, I have used a layer of pattern paper behind the white card stock to achieve this beautiful border around the card panel.
Card 4:
This card is definitely inspired by the colours of the season that is white and blue. I took a piece of water colour card stock and first white embossed the big bold sentiment. Then I chose few distress inks in the shades of Blue namely Tumbled Glass, Broken China, Chipped Sapphire and Shaded Lilac and smooshed them on my craft mat, spritzed with water, and put my card base on it to get this beautiful effect. Once completely dried, I stamped the other part of the sentiment with a waterproof ink, added some stars with Ranger texture paste and a stencil and of course, a beautiful grosgrain blue ribbon as final finishing touch. This panel was popped up on the white card base.
Card 5:
This is another beautiful and elegant card with very minimal supplies. I stamped this wreath in green and the sentiment inside it on a white card stock and added few red enamel dots around it. Then I used a border punch on one of the edges and wrapped a red twine around it with a bow. This panel was mounted on a piece of pattern paper with 3d tape and then stuck on the card base. I also added a beautiful embellishment on the bow for that extra touch. And the card was ready!
I hope you liked these cards and are inspired to join us in this month's blog challenge - Winter Wonderland.
Happy Winter Holidays to you all!!
And wish you a very happy and prosperous new year :)
Love,
Priti
