Stair Step Christmas Card Guest Inspiration by Sujata Bhandwalker

Hello Everyone,
Sujata here, and I am wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year 2020.  I am very happy and thankful for getting a chance to be a Guest Inspirator for this month on Prika’s blog.

So, today I am going to share my project for this month’s blog challenge theme “Winter Wonderland”. In winter season we celebrate Christmas all around the world. Today I am sharing a pictorial on a Stair Step Christmas Card. I hope you are inspired and will try to include some ideas in your Christmas crafts.
Let’s get started:
Stair Step Christmas Card

List of materials:
  • Basic tools like paper trimmer, score board and any craft glue
  • white, green and blue cardstock
  • white glittery foam sheet
  • acetate sheet
  • texture paste
  • some sequins for decoration

Making Steps-
Step 1: Take a blue cardstock, measures 5” X 11”. Score it at 1”, 2”, 3.5” and 5”.

Step 2: Make a zig-zag folds at scored lines. It looks like below image.

Step 3: For base take a white cardstock, it measures 13” X 5.1/4”. Score at middle that is at 6.5”. Our base is ready.

Step 4: Let’s make some Christmas element. For Christmas tree, first cut some snowflakes with green cardstock. Cut leaves like part from snowflakes and glue it on tree base.

Finally, it looks like below image.

Step 5: For a snow effect on tree apply some texture paste here and there. Lastly, decorate tree with some red colour sequins and star.

Step 6: For making snow man take a white glitter foam sheet and cut it in snow man shape. Draw some details on it using sketch pens. Make nose, hands and cap from paper.
Also make some snow balls from white glitter foam sheet.

Step 7: Cut a curved shape piece from acetate sheet and attach it on snow man’s hands. Glue some snow balls on the piece of acetate. It looks like snowman juggling balls.

Step 8: Die cut some white snowflakes using snowflake dies.

Step 9: Cut some mountain like shapes from white cardstock. Distress the edges with grey ink.

Step 10: Stamp flying reindeer in gold shade on white cardstock and fussy cut it.

Step 11: And everything is ready. Attach all elements on zig-zag fold of blue cardstock with the help of glue, and finally stick it on white base.
TaaDaaa...Our card is ready.....!
