Hello Craftizens
Kirti this side. Wishing you all a Happy Season of Fall. The season which is called as second spring, where every leaf is Flower.
Our creative team at Prika was very much inspired by this season and hence, we are up with this beautiful autumn season inspired mood board for you all.
Following the mood board challenge is very simple- Either choose colour theme or elements from the collage and end result should give the visualisation of Fall theme art Project :)
Coming to my project. I have always wanted to create the art journal one of my own. which would be my memoir but have always shied away from implementing it. Finally I decided to start with my thing in my bucket list for this challenge. Creating art journal is such a beautiful experience. The free play of texture, colours and composition was like Really like Music to my soul & I am determined to do this more Often.
I have chosen the leaves element & colour palette to create this art journal layout. The shades of Yellow-Orange-Red-Brown-Green were perfect to give the feel of fall.Have a closer look on project images and i will leave it upto to you to decide whether you can feel the beauty of crisp leaves of autumn.
I have used very simple materials for my project here
- Liquitex heavy gesso
- Small stamp leaves
- Archival & Distress ink
- Expressions craft Background stencil
- Craftshop sentiment stencil
- Prika cardstok for stamping
Here is stepwise tutorial for creating this autumn Inspired art page:
Step.1: I created base by applying thick gesso with paint brush
Step.2: In left & right corners I created little texture by dabbing my paint brush with some extra gesso
Step.3: I created the composition of background by using Expressions craft background stencil
Step.4: For leaves I stamped plenty of leaves On Prika cardstock
Step.5: I fussy cut the leaves
Step.6: Later I painted the leaves with camlin water colour
Step.7: When my background stencil was dried i did free play of mood board colours until my heart was satisfied with the look I want
Step.8: I used water spray and paint brush for colour blending.
Step.9: When everything dried I used some background stamps for adding extra accent to my background
Step.10: Next I have completed My page by adding a beautiful image, some die-cuts, flowers Sentiment and few other nature fussy cut elements.
Step.11: Lastly I added title to project by stencilling the Inspire word from craftshop sentiment stencil.
