Craft Enthusiast of the Week : Subhashini & Chandhini"... based in Noida, UP.....this creative duo twins love to recycle and create new craft projects...apart from pursuing their regular studies, they both found their passion for crafting....Let's get to know more about the crafting journey of our featured crafter for the day...

This is what Subhashini & Chandhini speaks about their journey, some of their favourite projects done in past...and about their creative journey together...

Hello, this is Subhashini & Chandhini. We are twins with a passion towards crafts, particularly recycled creations, quilling and card- making. We are based in Noida. We are currently pursuing Masters in Food & Nutrition. When we are not studying, you will find us crafting or blogging.

We have always been interested in arts & crafts. Even during vacations, we used to watch craft shows. Till then, it was occasional crafting. But we lately realised that craft is our calling during vacations after class XII. We tried our hands at quilling, recycling and making envelopes.

How it’s all started? (Our crafting Journey)

We had interest in arts and crafts since school days. We used to regularly see craft blogs. One of our cousins constantly motivated & encouraged us to start a blog of our own to share our craft works. We finally began blogging in 2016 during second year of under graduation. After classes, we used to do some quilling, in afternoon to kill boredom in hostel and post them in blog occasionally.

But the biggest turn came in the summer of 2018, when we took blogging more seriously and began posting often. It was only then that we discovered card making, soon we discovered stamping. Now we are hooked to card making.

What Inspired Us?
Our biggest inspiration is Radhika of Radhika Hobby crafts. Crafting runs in our blood, with our grandmother & mother making a lot of handmade stuffs like beaded dolls, embroidery, rangoli etc. We draw our inspiration from our surroundings & fellow crafters.

When we gift something handmade to our loved ones and see the smile on their faces and happiness in their eyes, it gives us immense satisfaction and keeps us motivated to create more such handmade creations.

Our most favourite crafts of all?

Our style of crafting?

Our style of crafting keeps changing. We love to recycle and give life to old things. Our current favourite is making interactive cards.

Our Future Plans?

We would love to sell our handmade creations, under the brand name- The Creative Twins.

Message for all craft Buddies?

Don't give up easily. Even if you fail at first attempt, try again. You will soon be happy that you did not give up.

Never feel small if you don't own branded stuffs out there, remember that there are always some alternative options, you just need to look around. All the experts were, but once beginners.

➤ Coloring medium of choice
➤ White cardstock
➤ Cloud stencil & Stars stencil
