"Hello Summer" Mixed Media Layout by CI Jaishree Bansal

Hola crafty peeps,

Jaishree this side. With summer upon us, I thought of sharing with you all a fun and colourful mixed media layout based on summer holidays and beaches.

List of supplies Used:

➤ Pattern paper – Itsy Bitsy (Little Birdie)
➤ Stencil – Prima
➤ Texture paste – Prima
➤ Tropical swirls die – Dress my Craft
➤ Foliage and leaves die #6 – Dress my Craft
➤ Whimsical hues pattern paper and motif sheet – Dress my Craft
➤ Lemon peel impasto paint – Prima
➤ Grape vine leaf chipboard – Expressions Craft

So to begin with I used two pattern paper in the colour green and red from an old pattern paper pack from little birdie.

I cut the red paper half inch shorter on all sides and distress its edges. I then pasted it on the green paper.

Next I marked the area of my pic and created some texture around it using prima’s stencil and texture paste and added some lemon peel impasto colour on it and let it dry.

I used a ton of fussy cut flowers from whimsical hues pattern paper pack and motif sheet from dress my craft. I adhered them around my pic.

I then used grape vine chipboard from expressions craft and heat embossed it using yellow versa mark ink and clear gloss embossing powder from WOW.

Then to embellish I used 45mm mulberry roses in yellow colour, handmade yellow flower from Prika and some red poppy flowers as my fillers.

I also used tropical die cuts from Dress my crafts die set and leaves and foliage die cuts as well.

Lastly I stamped here and there using music notes stamp from my stash and a brick wall stamp.

Let’s have a closer look:

Hope you liked this fun and colourful layout perfect to beat the heat this summer holiday season. Do share your creativity and participate in our ongoing monthly challenge to win some exciting prizes.
