Hello everyone,
Kanika here from Handmade By Kanika. I am a Fashion Designer turned into a full time Crafter. I have done several shows in past & showcased my work at an International Level Fashion Show as well in 2018.
My craft journey started when I was in school & I use to participate in all the events related to craft work & was always admired for my work. After completing my schooling’s I decided to start my journey with my own brand so initially I did many courses related to Paper Crafting, Wedding & Trousseau Packing. So I started to work from 2014 & started with Wedding & trousseau packing & thereafter did Paper Crafting by making Cards,Albums,Envelopes etc. Then I started doing Mix Media,Journals. In 2018 I started with my own You Tube Channel named Kanak Jaipur where I share DIY Tutorials, unboxing craft supplies, reviewing craft products. In October 2018, I Joined as a DESIGN TEAM Member for Expressions Craft.
How it’s all started? (My Crafting Journey!)
I started to craft when I was in school & I was a child, I use to love doing origami & later developed my skills for art & craft. I don’t exactly remember my first step in crafting but yes I was always fond of creating something new.
What Inspired me?
I take a lot of inspiration from nature, but ya the zeal of making something unique & different always inspired me to craft.
My Most Favourite Crafts of All?
I love all of my projects as I make them whole heartedly.
My style of crafting?
I don’t pursue any specific form for Crafting, I just follow my heart & make the project with the ideas that come in my mind.
My Future Plans?
My future plan is to inspire more & more people towards our industry. I want to teach this form of art that I am pursuing .
Message for all Crafters!
Just be original, don’t copy anyone’s style, develop your own style of work but ya you are free to get inspired from co-crafters but don’t copy, just Follow your mind & heart & you will achieve your goals.
