Hello Crafty buddies,
This is a very special project that I made using all the scrap materials that I had collected over time. I wanted to give that special warmth touch keeping spring blooms in mind. You must be wondering why is it special to me!! The picture that you see are my parents wedding pic and it never ever had a frame since then and I always wanted to make a customized crafted frame to it. And there it is.
Let me share the supplies that is used here:
# Cardboard ( Not bought, I stock all the cardboard that I get as packaging (hehe must thank amazon here)
# Small branches ( Every-time I used to go for a walk I searched for branches, I was on cloud 9 when I got that big branch on which you can see the nest residing)
# Jute (Got from a construction site beside our building )
# Coconut strings ( For my nest )
# Flowers ( pistachios shells )
# Chalk paint Itsy bitsy
# Tinted Metallic paint Itsy bitsy
# Stencil Itsy bitsy
# Acrylic Colors Set from Prika
# Glue Gun from Prika
# Mont Marte Modelling Paste
# Gesso
Let’s have a quick steps of making….I begin by covering the entire cardboard, branches and flowers with Gesso to make the base ready to play with.
Once cardboard is completely dry, at the place where we need to place the photo stacked some cardboard to give that needed raise so that it stands out while we place branches around it. Now time to work with the stencil. Cover the left over area with stencil.
Now the branches, mix mix mix colors to get that woody effect. Flowers used 6 shells and sticked them, simple ( try picking shells which are bit even in size).
Let’s now work with cardboard, play of colors again. I picked up couple of colors and started painting. And worked until I got that warmth I needed in it. Dry dry completely.
Time for arranging all together, 1st and for-most placed the photo. Then branches, flowers , nest and some jute thread. Used Tinted Metallic paint randomly here and there nothing specific. Here Priyanka gave me an idea to have a tag, but I did not have it and why not I created it. Taadada its DONE!
Special Special thanks to Priyanka Singh to giving me courage to use glue gun and encouraging to do this project.
Hope you like of what I created. I would love to know your reviews and oh yes an applause by clapping ππΌ ππΌππΌππΌππΌππΌas much as you wish too..
Happy Crafting!!
