Unforgettable Moments-Mixed Media Beach Themed Layout by Varsha Gupta

Hi Crafters! Varsha here!
We love the beach and I tend to capture a lot of moments while we are there! Photographs I am using here are from Goa trip…
Have a look at my new project which I am sharing with you all….

Supplies Used:
# Comfort Craft Distressing Tool
# Art Basics gesso heavy paste
# Drop Dead Diva — Starburst Sprays
# Lawn fawndamentals premium dye ink pad- Black Licorice
# Little birdie- Sparkle handmade Flowers
# Galrielle pollacco” Stencil
# Texture Sand
# Golden tinted metallic paint
# Art Anthology stencil
# Comfort Craft Distressing Tool
# Hydrangea Lawns paper pack
# Cardboard
# White, Brown and black acrylic paints
# Resin Frame
# Pearl sticker
# Fevicol MR
# Gloss liquid gel
Step.1: I used 12*12 cardboard and then I chose a pattern paper from “Dress My Craft — Hydrangea Lawns paper pack” collection to create a base layer for my layout.
Step.2: Then I separated a roughly cut portion from the pattern paper (I used to create the base layer) and then I made the edges of the portion, pattern paper and cardboard rough with the help of Comfort Craft Distressing Tool.
Step.3: I used art anthology stencil with art basics heavy Gesso texture paste to create a texture over the pattern paper and cardboard. After drying out the texture with the help of heat gun I pasted the pattern paper over the cardboard as shown below in the pictures.
Step.4: After that I used Lindy’s spray — Drop Dead Diva — Starburst Sprays (Blue and Green) and acrylic brown color for coloring the base which will make the background beautiful and attractive. You all can use your own color combinations.
Step.5: As I wanted to focus on photographs, as these are the main element on my layout design so I framed the photographs with resin and wooden frame. I also used chipboard, painted with brown acrylic color and placed and pasted them below the photographs as shown below in the pictures.
Step.6: I wanted to create some drama on the layout so I used a lot of flowers from “Little birdie- Sparkle handmade Flowers” and then added a few shells on the corner of layout and besides the photographs.

I finished this layout with texture sand using Glue gel, and used “Galrielle pollacco” Stencil to create net background and for creating the background I used Lawn fawndamentals premium dye ink pad- Black Licorice and then further beautified the layout with splatters (White, Brown and black acrylic paints) and golden tinted metallic paint over the flowers, frames and background.

I hope I have inspired you….
Till next time have a creative day.
