"Loads of Love" Altered Gift Box by Prika

Hello Lovely Crafter's,

Here I am back with another lovely Challenge for this month along with creating this inspiration project going with the theme: "Winter Blues with a Twist"

I have gone ahead to Alter this empty box as a Gift Box in Blue.....

Here's a quick step by step tutorial for creating this little cute gift box for any occasion

Let's begin with some list of supplies used:

# Empty Box

# Corrugated Sheet

# Black and White Gesso- Prima Marketing

# Timholtz Floral Stencil

# Snow Chalk Paint - Little Birdie Crafts

# Archival Ink- Forget me Not, Cobalt

# Oxide Ink Pad - Walnut Stain

# Texture Paste

# Distress Crackle Paint

# Heartfelt Poppy Flowers (Handmade)

# Blue Twine - Dress my Craft

# Chipboard Sentiment- Little Birdie

# Cadence - Mixed Media Stones

# Frosting Powder- Papericious

# .Glossy Ascent

Steps of Making:

Step:1. We have taken a empty box which we laid in the house, its a very good quality chipboard box, so though to just alter it into a gift box.

Step:2. Taken some hand tore pieces of corrugated sheet and added it on top of the box.

Step:3.  I further covered the top with Heavy Black Gesso and leave it to dry.

Step:4. Next step has been to add some more texture to the background, I have taken the stencil and texture paste to cover some spaces around the corrugated texture.

Step:5. Again gone ahead to cover the whole top with Heavy White Gesso and leave it to completely.

Step:6. As per the theme, there is a snowy colour in the palette , to give similar look I have used snow chalk paint and dabbed on top of  the complete layout using a sponge.

Step:7. Next step was to highlight the floral texture in the background, have used Forget me Not Archival Ink and kind of dry brushed to just highlight the same.

Step:8. Finally went ahead to complete the look with placing some handmade flowers, I made poppy flowers in blue using heartfelt stamp and die set.

Step:9. Further added some swirl die cuts, leaves and also adding the twist in the challenge by adding the blue twine.

Step:10. Final step adding some frosting powder to the flowers using crackle paint, it gives such amazing look to the flowers and just love the way it feels a little frosty on the flowers. Also added some Mixed Media stones here and there with the help of glossy ascents.

And here is our complete project for the challenge.
